5.3・IAPs: Tips and Subscriptions

Starting with V5, MySongbook has added “in-app purchases” for tips and subscriptions.

First and foremost, “All Features are available to all users, regardless of any purchases.” I repeat, once MySongbook is purchased, you do not need to purchase anything to get full use of MySongbook.

The only users impacted are heavy users with large song libraries who have not yet continued their support of the app. Without ongoing financial support, these users will experience a short delay on repeated Internet searches. But even these users can get rid of this nag by just asking. Email me, and I will endeavor to help you out.

Feedback, Let me know

Please let me know what you think about this financial model. MySongbook would be better served as a business by going straight to a full subscription model. But I hate subscriptions! We all do. I think most of my active users would be fine with the minimal ongoing support I’m requesting.

Also, going to a subscription model changes the developer-to-user relationship. I’ve worked extremely hard to build the best relationship with my users. I hope you see that I have not changed in that regard.
